Day 1: Visiting Ruaha National Park After breakfast you will collect your belongings and take off to Ruaha National Park; taking in the beautiful landscape on the way. Upon arrival lunch to be served in the park. After lunch you will proceed on a full day game drive. Ruaha National Park was organized in the early 60’s with the main reason to protect a certain habitat called Miombo. What makes Miombo is very special are two species of trees (Julbernardia and Brachystegia). Miombo houses different types of animals and birds. Ruaha is located in a unique area with low and high altitude; making for a variety of vegetation. The park extended in terms of size because of the misuse of water in the catchment site of Ruaha which led the river to dry out and now it’s Tanzania’s largest national park. Later in the day you will drive back to Iringa with a beautiful African sunset to view along the way. You will have dinner and your overnight at the Hotel Iringa.
